Went there for a wedding rehearsal dinner. W were seated on the top floor patio. There was about 35 of us there. The weather was warm, we had asked the waiter to bring us a large fan because the air was not moving at all. Beware of the mosquitos, i had to walk down to CVS and grab me some Off, by that time it was too late. no appetizer, just set menu. Wife got a mahi mahi wrap, which was okay. I got the jerk chicken salad, it was not that bad. overall, the location is great, just down from duval, but the place is a little run down.

I had been to Key West so many times and heard to check out Kelly's but never went until this last time. Wow! What I have been missing. We only sat at the bar and had appetizers, but it was a full meal! We had the shrimp skewers and the chicken wings. These were some of the best wings I have ever had! Plus we had a great bartender. Love it! Love it!

Off the main strip of Duval St, this place is an awesome place with both indoor and outdoor seating. They're the only place on Keys that brews their own beers...I tried the Golden Ale, as the wheat was tapped. The coconut-pineapple bread that they brought to the table was amazing, as was the cheese/beer pretzel dip from the bar. The fish of the day (escolar--billed as similar to tuna but actually closer to a white fish) was OK, but the noodles in lime ponzu sauce were great. During dinner, we also heard songs over the loudspeaker from the Arcade Fire, early Green Day, and Ted Leo. Had the fish been closer to tuna, as suggested, this would have been a 5-star meal for me...If you enjoy white fish, it would've been for you. I hope to make it back again some day.

Great patio for dinner, under some large trees with cool lighting. Just cross your fingers that a Summer shower doesn't decide to make an appearance. Luckily for us, we were just finishing up and about to pay the bill when a downpour began. We escaped quickly to the covered bar area. My body was not in the best of condition when my large group of friends ate here for dinner. I'm not sure if it was the Summertime cold I had developed, or the over-consumption of booze and the never-ending hangover but I just couldn't get very excited about my meal here. With that said, the fresh bread and coconut butter was delicious! After that, I ordered a fresh snapper filet, grilled with charred tomato relish, rice and steamed asparagus. The fish entirely lacked seasoning and while the tomato relish had good flavor, the portion was too small have enough to accompany every bite of the bland fish. The service was good, however, and they were very accommodating for our large group. I would try Kelly's again if I'm ever back in Key West.

Good atmosphere- relaxing place to sit and grab a drink or lunch. Wings were very good. What holds me back from a 4 star is the place looks like it is a bit run down...this is part of why the atmosphere is relaxing and charming but seems to be on the edge of being a problem.

Wife and I decided on Kellys for a dinner last night and enjoyed our meal. The service was great as we were seated immediately in the wonderful atmosphere. The wait staff was very friendly. We ordered two appetizers and both were very good. The Lobster Quesadilla had a great taste and just exploded with flavor and the Brie was good although lacked in flavor a bit. For our entrees my wife had the Coconut Shrimp and she loved them. Although I thought they had too sweet of a taste she loved her her meal and the shrimp were cooked great. I had the Seafood Sautee that included shrimp, scallops, mussels, and fish with a pasta. The sauce was delicious and the whole dish had GREAT flavor although I was disappointed with the amounts of seafood dispensed. The amount of shrimp, scallops (very small scallops), and mussels lacks in comparison with the large chunks of fish in the dish much to my displeasure. Overall this was a good place to eat and I would like to try more on the menu on y next visit.

Kelly's happy hour, daily from 4-7, is worth many repeat visits during your stay in Key West. They have $2 microbrews (the IPA was the most drinkable... but at $2 who's complaining!) and $4 key lime margaritas, which are potent and tangy. They have a tantalizing array of bar snacks, including conch fritters, smoked fish dip, wings, and more. The non-happy hour food experience is more of a 3 star one, with simply prepared fish dishes (many local catches) at moderate prices. We loved the outdoor garden and found the bartenders and wait staff to be extremely friendly. This laidback place is representative of the relaxed atmosphere of the island!

This is my home away from home. Only brewery in the Keys. Food is fantastic... fresh and creative. The bar is slightly "thematic", taking after its historically aeronautical past. The bar is "wing-shaped" and paneled in aircraft siding. The ceiling fans are propellers, etc. But enough of that. Must, must must have an order of chicken wings here... and the beer. This is the kind of place with friendly staff and calming atmosphere that sucks you in for hours and hours. For the tourist-haters... avoid from October to April. Kelly's catches a lot of "boat-geezers" from the incoming tour ships. However, after the spring heats up and the patronage cools down... its your show. Doug, Erica and Jenny are the best bartenders on the island--hands down. Though, you can go for the appetizers, and entrees... sit down for a meal with the family or your sweetheart, I love the happy hour most. Cheap prices and high-quality. Also, one block off of the strip, near the Truman House. Its absolutely gorgeous. It's your "island experience."

I always try and have one of Kelly's micro brews when I'm in Key West. It is one of my favorite places to relax away from Duval Street. Anyone who enjoys craft beers should make a stop here and try a beer sampler for $3.

WORST jerk chicken I've ever tasted... but I guess that's what I get for ordering jerk chicken in key west :/ The restaurant's atmosphere isn't bad though... maybe try ordering a burger.

Lovely setting. HUGE backyard with outdoor seating. Kelly's is blissfully removed from Duval street craziness. Happy hour food is great and reasonable. Hot wings are super hot!

While my boyfriend and I were here we stayed at The Banyan. This place was just around the corner. What I loved was they make their own IPA which is awesome. I also really love the location and ambiance. At night time it is so beautiful and very romantic outside. I almost gave it 4 stars, but for me the food was nothing memorable. All in all a great experience, with a great ambiance, and if you want to try local beer - this is the place to be.

Great happy hour. $2.50 well and 4.50 wings. Asian Thai wings were outstanding as was the Lobster Quesadillas.

I've just eaten at so many good restaurants this week that I'm being tough on this one for not delivering. I think the reviews are so positive on this place bc of the good HH deals. The Chicken and Brie sandwhich was eh bc chicken was plain and dry. The wings are prob great w beer but on their own they're nothing to write home about. The ambience was really the only thing great. I would not go back unless it was HH

Beautiful!!! Went for the happy hour SHOW UP EARLY the locals will get all the spots first cause they know how awesome it is too!! The wheat beer that they make that is included in happy hour isn't what you think of when you drink the great wheat beers available commercially. I am not a fan,.. but many were. People go for the inexpensive totally to die for chicken wings served during Happy Hour. They are breaded and crispy and unbelievably good. Buffalo wing snob hubby didn't approve of the "breaded" part of the chicken wings and he heard someone order the wings "naked" and wish he would have too 'cause evidently when you have lived a decent part of your life in Buffalo breaded wings are evil. He still really enjoyed them though I might add! I thought they were excruciatingly devine!!!!! Oh my GOD don't miss this place on your next journey to Key WEST!!!!!

Easily one of my favorite happy hours on the island! Get yourself a couple Key Lime Margaritas and an order or two of hot wings to start your night. If you want to try something truly delicious, though not on the happy hour menu, try the Key Lime Colada. Wow.

The service was bad. No hosts staff. Waitresses didn't seemed like they wanted to be here. At one point, our waitress asked us if she could leave the water pitcher in our table so she wouldn't have to check on us so much. The food was hit or miss, depending on what you had. My husband had the jerk chicken and like it a lot. I had the snapper, and they toped it with goat cheese... Didn't work. It has a nice patio, but would skip it next time we come.

we went to Kelly's for Christmas Eve dinner. The ambience was incredible. The outdoor seating in the back was beautiful and festive. Our waiter wasn't the most attentive, but everything else was perfect. Loved the ceviche! the key lime pie was very sweet and didn't have enough lime flavor imo. their beer was pretty good as well.

Very good food and a variety of options. Gorgeous patio would have been nice to have enjoyed but visited Key West during record cold snap. Inside, the restaurant wasn't too loud---could hold a conversation. Service was efficient and friendly---the manager even came over and thanked us for coming!

Go out of your way and have a great meal here! There was 6 in our party and everybody was raving about the meal each had. Our waiter was excellent and made suggestions that were well received. From the food, beer and desserts we couldn't have asked for more out of our experience. The only negative was from a few locals who tried to talk us out of going there. DON'T let this happen to you. Go enjoy the historic building and enjoy an wonderful outdoor dining experience.

  • Joob B.

We dined on the patio on a dark and steamy night. Fortunately, the trees and fans kept us cool. Our waitress was funny and cute; that distracted us from the steamy climate! Had the Lobster filled ravioli. Tasty. The Shrimp Cocktail, not so much. Overcooked. Why do I always get overcooked Shrimp in Florida? You would think these people would be experts at cooking it! The Gazpacho was good, but a little too much Sour Cream was added. Table mate had Mahi Mahi that was the best dish on the table. We were totally out ordered. Hate that when that happens. Went back the next night, and had grouper. Now that was pretty tasty. Didn't care for the Key Lime. Go to Michael's or Blonde Giraffe for your Key Lime fix.

Wonderful bloody marys and delicious food. A great setting and a non-touristy feel. Love it , love it!

I should know better than to trust the tourist guides. But this place had supposedly been written up in fancy-pants magazines like Gourmet and Bon Appetit. Besides, they brew their own beer! How can this go wrong? When we were quickly seated on a gorgeous patio. Glancing over the menu, many delicious sounding entrees awaited us. We congratulated ourselves on our good choice for the evening. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Our initial excitement carried us through the long wait for service. And I mean any service, we didn't get so much as a glass of water for nearly ten minutes. Hell, I had to request my glass of water and each and every refill. For a place that trumpets themselves as the southernmost brewery in the United States, they didn't have a list of their beers. Apparently, I was supposed to have seen the sign by the door listing their three microbrewed beers. A pale ale, a red ale and a wheat beer. You can get more interesting beers at a Hops or a Rock Bottom brewery. They'll even have a list for you, so you don't mishear "india pale ale" and get your hopes up. Their staff may actually know something about beers, such that if you order an "india pale ale" they will recognize that is not something they offer. Long story short: the pale ale is crap (which is what you should expect from pale ales), the red ale is nothing special, but the wheat beer is pretty good. Fine, they're not much of a microbrewery, but at least the food is good, right? Look at all these great things. Locally caught fish, grilled, broiled or blackened! Or some Hawaiian fish, freshly caught and flown in overnight. How can you go wrong? Easy, you can take this wonderful, fresh fish and OVERCOOK IT. Both my and my girlfriend's dishes were overcooked. What is the point of having super fresh fish if you cook it until it has the consistency of tough steak?? Living so close to AN OCEAN but showing NO ABILITY TO COOK SEAFOOD should disqualify you from being in the restaurant business. Hell, it should be considered a crime. I should have sent it back, but I was still chewing on my first leathery piece when the waitress swung by. I did not see her for a long time after, and had little confidence that I could get a piece of fish cooked any better in any reasonable amount of time. I did complain later in the meal. They were sincerely apologetic, and gave me a 10% discount. This was the only reason I gave this place two stars instead of one. I can't complain that the service was unfriendly, just very inattentive. Similarly, the food all seemed good in concept, but was horribly prepared. To be blunt, I really find no reason for this place to be in business. They're not very good at what they do.

Was really nice to get out of the sun & stupidity of some of the traps on the party strip. We were partying, and this place provided a comfortable respite to relax. On site brewed beer is a good effort, the IPA was crisp, hoppy and had a nice clean high alcohol finish. Happy hour margaritas & wings were entirely fine considering the price. Wings were breaded, which is a sin, but the Jamacian Jerk spice was really good. Menu looked good as well as the lunch dished I saw passing by, so I will go back to try it out.

The food and service were great! I stopped in for lunch and a micro brew and returned again the same day for dinner. The fish special was outstanding and the setting is the perfect getaway from Duval St.

I loved this place. I read mixed reviews on Yelp and I'm not sure why. Ambiance - a vintage key west place. You sit out on a back patio among the trees. It's a classic looking place that's well maintained and clean. I was pleasantly surprised. Food - It's often difficult to get both good ambiance and good food....but this place pulled it off. The have this fantastic hot bread with a hint of coconut - it's just enough to add some unique flavor. I got the jerk chicken and my family got a few other dishes. We all agreed that the food was outstanding.....great flavor...but not too heavy on the oils. Service - again, a home run. We were greeted immediately when we arrived and the wait staff was great. It's not run by high school students. I admit that I'm a fussy guy sometimes and I can't say enough good things about this place. Request: If you're reading this, please write some reviews on your dive, hotel, food and other experiences. I found it difficult to get reviews on key west so please help out our community.

Chose this place because the menu looked interesting. The place was at one time owned by Kelly McGillis (Top Gun fame) but is now run by her ex-husband. The restaurant itself is in the former Pan-Am building/house...so it has some history and star power. Since it's a brewery I tried their blond ale...it was tasty, nothing to write home about. We started with the lobster quesadilla...it was solid. Not a ton of lobster and the drizzled bbq sauce on it didn't go great with me but wasn't horrible. My girlfriend had the coconut shrimp, they were cooked right the coconut breading was light but crunchy had really good flavor. I went with the special yellow snapper, it was cooked just right although the flavor wasn't jumping out at me. It was a good entree, but would probably try something different next time.

My partner and I ate there twice on our recent trip to Key West. The first visit was on a Sunday afternoon after they big rush and enjoyed their Lobster BLT and Chicken Salad sandwich. Our 2nd visit was at night after sunset our wait time for a table was not even 20 minutes. We dined on the Calypso Pork and Chicken Penne and shared a dessert recommended by our server Brian. Food was great ! Also our server Brian, went above and beyond in helping another group he had been serving in ensuring that this group had a taxi to get back to their hotel in. All I can say is that I am looking forward to my next visit to Kelly's for either drinks at the bar or dining.

Great place! They don't take reservations for small parties but the wait was not long and we just got drinks at the bar while we waited- the Pan Am Panic frozen drink was tasty! We sat on the upper deck, right next to a large pan-am sign on the roof, which was a neat bit of history. I can't imagine an airline operating out of this quaint little place! The bread they bring out- coconut flavored- is outstanding. I could have eaten just that and been happy. I tried conch fritters since they are so popular around here- I wasn't a fan but probably wouldn't have liked them wherever they came from. We ordered a cheese/beer dip with pretzels off the bar menu and that was excellent. We both got the catch of the day, Escolar- the fish was OK, the soba noodles and key lime ponzu sauce were very tasty. We loved the music selection- including arcade fire and similar. The service was prompt and attentive. Prices were fair. Definitely a place worth checking out!

I went with my wife; My food was good and hers was not. Too much dressing on the ceasar salad & her pizza just was not our taste. Ambiance and service was good, but too expensive to miss that badly on the food.

Nice place with outside patio seating. Friendly staff, but a bit slow especially since they were not very busy. Fish Po-boy was good. Pasta salad may have been around a bit too long. Will try again sometime.

There was no wait on a Saturday night, at early dinner time. Our server was Olga who was very attentive (but not to the point of annoying) and our food and drinks were presented promptly. We had the Jerk Chicken and Crab Cakes as entrees. To drink, I ordered a coconut mojito which was served with fresh mint and lime and was absolutely delicious. Both entrees were fantastic (we shared). I wished I could continue eating long after I was quite full. We were seated outside, on a pleasant night which made the entire experience at Kelly's excellent. I usually don't trust the hotel magazine dining reviews (although I do check them). Most often I go to Yelp instead. In this case, I am happy to have risked going with the magazine's recommendation, the food and experience have been great for me. My only turnoff is the restaurant's website, which is done in flash and thus inaccessible to some devices. I wish businesses would let go of cheesy flash implementations and serve standard html instead.

Piña Coladas were amazing, they were rich and creamy with fresh coconut milk. I highly recomend the Mango Pina Colada. They served us coconut bred with tomato butter, which was delicious. The calamari apetizer waz very good, although nothing different from what you'd get anywhere else in the states. I ordered the seafood sauté, it was good although not very flavorful.

We had the lobster special which was your typical Maine fare with corn on the cob/coleslaw etc. The other order of Shrimp & cheese grits didn't have much taste and little cheese, skimpy on the shrimp. The coconut shrimp were too heavily battered for my taste and super crunchy. The marg didn't taste like fresh lime to me. The atmosphere in the jungle kind of neat.

Not one of my Key West favorites - I was very disappointed with the conch fritters - too much dough and greasy, mahi mahi - nicely grilled served with a light yellow rice and key lime pie - the cream cheese, no bake flavored custard did not mesh well with the oreo crust. Overall, food was blahhh, service and ambiance was good.

After some pretty miserable meals in Key West this week, I went with no expectations to Kelly's. Couldn't be more surprised. The hostess was friendly and quick to seat us, the atmosphere in the outdoor dining area wonderful, and the meal decent to good. The calamari was excellent and the chili sauce not too sweet. The one miss was the flatbread pizza (I should have known better!)...bland, tasteless, and a very odd combination of ingredients that never came together. We had one of the fish specials....blackened wahoo, cooked beautifully, not too dry. The rice was dry on the side, but the vegetables nicely cooked. Good wine/beer list. We had the key lime pie (good) and the banana/mango cobbler (just ok...barely tasted banana, the mango was too green and came out like apple cobbler, and the allspice or nutmeg overwhelmed everything.) I would recommend this place if you have to eat in the touristy area of Key West.

My wife and I went to Kelly's on our last night in Key West. They have a beautiful open brick courtyard with lots of trees and nice lighting. Our server was helpful and did a nice job pacing the meal. The food was great and not overly priced, and the wine list was very reasonably priced (close to twice the store price, which is about as good as it gets). After the meal, we wanted to tour the building, and the manager was happy to let us do so. Overall, a fine experience, with nice service and management, and a great atmosphere.

We went to Kelly's after viewing the sunset @ Mallory square. Kelly's was recommended by a friend and had high yelp ratings so we of course wanted to try it out. Very good happy hour prices, good craft beers, tasty wings and a great atmosphere. We would have rated higher if not for the bar manager who challenged us on a messed up order. The kitchen delivered the wrong order and we didn't notice until she brought the correct order about 10 min later. It was an order of wings - we had ordered mild and she said the order was mild. Honest mistake. The bartender was cool and was going to take them off the tab, but the bar manager insisted on challenging us. Way to represent your bar, buddy. If you hate your job so much, move back north and clear some way for somebody who is actually happy to spend their winters in 80 degree sunshine :-)

NOTE: According to all involved, Kelly's must have had a bad night the one and only time I've gone. My dining companions had been there numerous times before and really enjoyed themselves, my experience was not so great. Where to begin? Well, first we waited to be seated for about 15 minutes which would be understandable if there were more than the 4 occupied tables there. We sat down, not thinking too much of it and starving, we order the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. The shrimp come out cold and rubbery with the coconut soggy. Not so good. Still we're hopeful. We talk and wait for our then ordered food. Wait time was not bad, but I wouldn't mind a little longer wait for a better result. I had the tuna, which still had remnants of I'm assuming was skin and bone. My dining companions had the crab cakes (temperature wasn't hot, but still tasty), child's cheeseburger (coming from a kid that could live off of burgers, he didn't even eat half and the fries were cold and so undercooked, he didn't even finish one), chicken Caesar salad (here is where I get angry and they lose major face...the chicken is slimy and old looking so its pushed aside, there are also pieces of some sort of stone or rock through the bottom of the bowl. The waiter must have seen us examining this after my brother almost broke a tooth. He comes over and after being shown these pieces that we had found several of, he says he will check with the kitchen. He comes back and plainly says that its common as they do not to wash their produce...ewe...no apology or anything. Just brought the check. Awesome.(side note: we also received no bread or silverware until asked and then only one slice of bread was brought though on past trips I'm told its usually brought for the table) So, my entire experience here was awful. Maybe a bad night, an off occasion, but it will remain my only one as I will not be going back.

The BEST keylime margaritas in Key West! Great happy hour wings! The regular menu wasn't appealing to our group but we hit the Happy Hour more than once on our trip. Great location - bar staff wasn't always pleasant (I agree with Megan M - tourists are not #1 priority). But the margaritas make it all better!!

This is a really nice outdoor open brewery. I had the wheat beer which was pretty good. We ordered some calamari that was ok, A little rubbery and over fried. Again really nice place to sit outside with friend and grab a brew.

I really liked Kelly's. We were in KW for labor day this year (Tropical storm and all...) and had a blast. Kelly's wasn't busy at all. There were only 3 other tables besides ours. We sat outside and the white lights and greenery surrounding the restaurant was adorable. I love how they converted this old house (I'm thinking it was a big old house) into a restaurant. It's easily accessible to downtown KW and our waitress was incredibly attentive and pleasant. The food was so good! My friend had the blackened snapper which was spicy and fresh...I had the special which was halibut (I believe, we also had a lot of wine) and lumps of crab on top. My other friend had the scallops that were cooked PERFECTLY. My gosh, thinking about them is making my mouth melt. We had a nice bottle of white wine and shared a ceviche appetizer which was tangy and tasty. My favorite part might have been the sundried tomato butter---I wanted to put it on everything! Definitely go to Kelly's...it's a great location, friendly staff, and even better food. Yum.

We came here for a family dinner on my son's fourth birthday. All of the staff was friendly and professional; they took our goofy-looking homemade cake to the fridge and cut it for us and lit the candles. The food was just delicious-- I had grilled Mahi-mahi. Casual, easygoing atmosphere.

I came here mostly because my mom was a Pan-Am flight attendant, and I wanted to get some pictures for here and maybe see if they had a coozie, cup, or some sort of awesome different Pan-Am memorabilia. 3 of us sat at the half inside/half outside bar and ordered margaritas for happy hour, which you cannot beat the price. We also got the mahi mahi tacos, and each had one. The service, just like everywhere in Key West, was super speedy and accurate. The fish tacos were good, but not the best in Key West. Unfortunately, they didn't have any Pan-Am stuff, but I still got a picture of the menu and the sign outside. Cheers!

We went to Kelly's for happy hour (4-7) and dinner because the locals had told us it's the only brewery (micro) left on the island. Once there we learned of the history: this location is where the first Pan Am ticket was sold and now is also owned by Kelly McGillis of Top Gun fame. My husband tried the Golden Ale. Nothing to write home about. Service at the bar was mediocre, so we moved with our drinks to a table. We were quickly seated on the patio for dinner. For starters we ordered the Coconut Shrimp which was pretty good. For dinner my husband got the Mahi-Mahi encrusted with Macadamia nut and topped with banana rum butter, while I opted for the Special which included shimp and scallops in a light cream sauce over noodles. One interesting thing about the menu is that you have a choice of 3 fish (Mahi Mahi, Grouper, or Snapper) cooked any of their 4 ways you like: Grilled with tomatoes, Blackened with Mango salsa, Broiled with herbed mayo, or the way my husband had his. Or if you're having Filet Mignon, you also have 4 options in the way you'd like them to prepare it. My husband enjoyed his entree very much though it was a little too sweet for my taste. The scallops in my dish were very small and the shrimp tails still attached which I guess is common, but overall the flavor was really nice. The portions were large but there was one problem. It had rained earlier, our table was situated among lush tropical foliage, and me with my banana-boat-mosquito-bait on, we had become dinner. Otherwise we would've stayed longer. A quick tip: don't sit on the patio at dusk. Our appetizer and 2 entrees were under $50, which is pretty reasonable for Key West. The dinner service was excellent, and the food was good to very good.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere and I went for a private function. Their was a open bar and they had nothing but the cheapest booze available and limited at that. Many of us had to go downstairs and pay for a decent drink. Otherwise the food was good.

This place has one of the finer happy hours one can find. They are a micro brewry and their golden ale is one of the better beers I have had in a while. The wings are probably the best wings you can find on the island and all of this is best enjoyed during happy hour! The dinner menu is average but the wait staff is above average. The waitress I had was very knowledgable about the menu and could give a fine description of each of the items on the menu. You definitely knew what you were getting when dinning there. Great place.

Went here right when they opened on a Wednesday. Place wasn't busy at all and we were our waitresses very first table ever (she did great!). Prices seemed pretty fair and food was delicious. The beer wasn't anything incredible, just typical craft brews (a red, wheat and golden ales). The red ale stood out as the best to me. The history of the place was pretty neat, definitely a nice little tourist stop in.

My wife and I ate here on our day trip to Key West after our cruise. So being that we just got off a cruise ship, we had been eating good food for the past 8 days. We kind of stumbled onto Kelly's as we were walking, we noticed that it looked interesting, had outdoor seating in a garden area, and the food smelled and looked great on everyone's table. So we decided to try it. We were seated right away with no wait. Sadly we just missed happy hour. The food was great and good portions. I could not finish mine, nor could my wife finish hers which bummed us out a bit because we wanted to try dessert. You're supposed to eat Key lime pie when in Key West...but we just didn't have room. The service was good, and the food was great! We really enjoyed the atmosphere! Outdoors, there were lights, and music, and strangely, I didn't notice a single bug anywhere the whole day in Key West. I rate the crab cakes here second best behind the Blue Water Bistro in Lake Tahoe!

They had a Florida lobster special. $19.95 get 1 1 1/2 pound lobster. potatoes and corn. The corn was worthless, the lobster was grilled, OK, not great slightly overcooked and looked smaller than 1.5 lbs. That was my wife's meal. Mine was the grits and shrimp. Shrimp and grits overcooked too. Overall food = just so so . They are a brew pub, so we asked for a sampler. Waiter informed us that they really only had three brews and he would bring a sampler of those. When he cam to the table he only had two samples because they ran out of the third. Hard to call yourself a brewpub whe you only sell two of three homebrews. Overall beer=so so. Margarita = just so so. Service = excellent. I can't fault the waiter for the food and beer. He was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere = very nice lots of trees and great patio area. They need a new cook and brew master. Will not go back and it's a shame considering they are the only brewpub in KW.

This was an adorable restaurant in key west! I had a wonderful key lime margarita and we shared the conch fritters to start. The bread the put in the table was a sweet Hawaiian loaf and was very nice. I got the fillet and whipped garlic potatoes. One of the biggest and best I've had anywhere. The potatoes were fantastic. I felt my plate was very under salted but once I added it, it was magic! Brad got the skirt steak with beans and rice he enjoyed his (except for the plantains, not the chefs fault ) My son got the jerk chicken. He ate because he was hungry but didn't really enjoy it. I tried it and didn't care for it at all. Too sweet for my taste. We had the key lime pie for dessert and it was ok. Chocolate crust and the filing was sweet not tart. I would go again. It was really good overall.

Really good food and was a great stop down at Key West! Would highly recommend and the place is awful cute. Our server was great and the sauces they used were great from the coconut shrimp to the jerk chicken!

I have a confession to make, I am a bit of an aviation nerd. Noticed this place while dining at an establishment across the street. Everyone seemed to be having a good time so we figured we would give Kelly's a shot before we left Key West. It is known for it's seafood/Caribbean food and it was such a beautiful afternoon we sat outside. While waiting for our menu I happened to notice that this was the former headquarters of Pan Am Airways. I asked the server if it was ok for me to walk around and she was more than happy to point out items of interest both about Pan Am and the former owner, actress Kelly McGillis (from Top Gun). The memorabilia about Pan Am that they have is kind of neat but not all that extensive. It set in the room on the right when you enter the restaurant. The hostess pointed out a neat fact about the entrance. It is actually a covered courtyard between Pan Am Headquarters and the house next door which were combined to form Kelly's. The food was just ok, I had the Jammin' Jerk Burger which is a jerk infused burger served with grilled pineapple and pepper jack cheese. My wife had the Trinidad Turnovers which were wonton skins stuffed with spiced chicken, mango and spring onion, it was served with a tamarind dipping sauce. She also decided to have something from the bar with lunch, the Pan Am Panic which was a frozen drink of rum, strawberry puree and pina colada. What I really enjoyed was we were entertained while eating by live music. Steel drums and reggae music are some of my favorites. He performed a lot of Bob Marley (of course) and some original music. Worth a look if you are on the island as they have Happy Hour Specials and also a brewery out back.

This place is a decent-enough spot to get a drink and hang out for a few. The bartender was nice, and the drink prices were on par for everywhere else in Key West. What I didn't like is that the bar was dirty and we were the first people to sit down. So either the closing people didn't clean up, or the opening staff was slacking - either way, it was somewhat yucky. The atmosphere is nice in the back with the trees and outdoor seating (both tables and at the bar). Overall worth a visit.

Nice place to grab a beer. Their in house brew Havana Red Ale is perfect to cool off after walking in the heat around town.

Went for a bite around 1:00 p.m. - it wasn't terribly busy but seems they were short staffed or something. Took FOREVER to get our drinks and then took forever for shrimp omelet and hot wings and then to get our bill afterward too. And there was nothing special about the food. The only good thing going for this place that I can tell is their outdoor area - it's very pretty and it's on a quiet street.

  • Darryl S.

We were actually heading to a joint called "Grunts" (got a 4-1/2 star rating from our fellow Yelpers!); however, it appears (from the sign in the courtyard) that the kitchen portion of the restaurant has closed and they're looking for a new kitchen lessee. So, a bit reluctantly -- and I say "reluctantly" because of the 3-1/2 star review -- we popped across the street to Kelly's, as it had an attractive outdoor courtyard, under a canopy of large trees, solitaire palms, and a myriad of other flora and ambient lighting. Seeing that it was an on-site brewhouse was a major lure, as well. (Unfortunately, the distillery was not in operation at the time of our visit due to servicing. Such was our imbibing luck....) The trifecta of brewery, bar and restaurant are located in one of those classic Key West "mansions" -- I'm gonna call it that since it was much larger than residence-sized -- harking back to the days of Hemmingway and, too, those old-time Charleston or Savannah grand homes. Kelly's has a large, covered, open-air bar area, an indoor eating area, as well as the aforementioned spacious al fresco dining area. Without doubt a very romantic and relaxing setting. Our waitress, Olga, was a perfect start to our evening. Very friendly and charming and attentive throughout the entire meal. We started with the fried calamari dish. It was an attractive plate of thin-cut, crispy squid, served with a wonderful spicy-orange dipping sauce. (Such a departure from the de rigueur marinara sauce that is served by 99% of most restaurants serving fried calamari.) Overall, the appetizer was more than decent; however, as it turned out, we got the last of the calamari and it, unfortunately, showed, as we got an inordinately large portion of smallish over-fried bits. Again, though, the larger portions and tentacles were well-cooked, and the think-outside-of-the-box dipping sauce truly elevated the dish. For the entrees, I went with the seared scallops in a beurre blanc sauce; my partner ordered the coconut-encrusted grouper, topped with a mango butter. Both entrees came with haricots vert and rustic young carrots, as well as rice pilaf; my scallop dish also came with sauteed green spinach. My dish came with four perfectly seared/cooked jumbo scallops, in a cream sauce that, in a phrase, was to-die-for! The thin green beans and carrots were also perfectly cooked, as it still maintained their hearty crunch; spinach was sauteed just right. I literally used slices of the wonderful, warm side of bread to sop-up all of the sauce! My partner also raved about the veggies, as well as his grouper. (I had a bite and it was, indeed, ladened with fresh-shaved coconut, and happily moist.) I normally like to make my reviews with prices; however, I didn't get a breakdown of this meal. That said, for an appetizer, two entrees, a slice of key lime pie, a couple of martinis and a couple of draught beers, the entire bill came out to $101 (not including tip). I obviously can't speak for the naysayers of Kelly's, but I'd give this place 5-stars if it wasn't for the fact that the brewhouse was down for servicing. (And, too, I overheard a tourist tram go by, whereby the driver announced to the tourists that this restaurant/brewery was owned by "Top Gun" actress, Kelly McGillis. WAY TO GO, KELLY...!!!) :D

Went there because the outside had a little tidbit about Pan Am selling their first ticket there...which has nothing to do with the restaurant itself....had a very tasty razzberry adult drink. Originally ordered conch fritters but there was something about that they weren't ready. Moved on to the calamari, I really enjoyed the light cornmeal batter. Also it wasn't typical little tiny rings n tentacles. The tentacles were quite long but really amazing. Also had the mahi mahi poboy, very good as well. It was 11 am so a bit early for the lunch crown but that works for me.

So I went here 20 years ago with family because my brother-in-law had a birthday celebration there. The actress Kelly McGillis from Top Gun fame owned it, and I think she still does. It's a nice open-air place, huge bar and patio and often has a collection of interesting and colorful people there. On this new occasion an older gentleman wearing lingerie with wings was there striking up conversations. We just had drinks for old times sake and they were very tasty. We love this place. Great memories for sure. It's just off the busy Duval Street so it's not terribly crowded, but it's longevity speaks volumes about how cool it is.

Looked like a really fun place when we went in and sat at the bar, until, the bartender busted gave us grief for coming in at the last 5 minutes of happy hour, and then IGNORED US as he helped other patrons. It's one thing to joke with someone as you TAKE AN ORDER, but to ignore a customer when you're right in front of them? That's not even remotely appropriate, I don't care where you are. We walked out quickly!

Cool bar with great curb appeal, this is a pretty fun spot. They have a few of their own beers on tap that are very inexpensive and real tasty, and great food that is pretty pricey. Their service is mind bogglingly poor. A place with a layout and menu like this deserves a much better wait staff.

Great happy hour deals on food and drinks. Loved the margaritas and then fish tacos. The wings, cheese and pretzel dip and fish dip were also good! Went to twice so far on this vacation!

Go at night and sit outside. We loved the tropical trees and all the lights. Very cool and romantic. The live music was a nice touch and added to the tropical atmosphere. From the apps to the dinner and finally dessert, everything was AWESOME. We started with the coconut shrimp app. Then for our main entree we had the coconut encrusted Mahi Mahi and blackened Grooper. I loved the little Cajun kick of the Grooper. We topped it all off with the ice cream sandwich dessert. (See photo) With a few alcohol drinks and tip, the bill was around $100. I highly recommend and will definitely return.

The outdoor seating under the trees is lovely. I had the gazpacho, which was refreshing and an arugula and fennel salad which was reasonable. The key lime pie was excellent, as was the caipirinha!

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on a recommendation from some friends who did happy hour here. Unfortunately, there was a wedding reception in the back patio area so we couldn't take advantage of the beautiful surroundings. We were seated upstairs on the deck in a nice quiet spot. Our waitress was at first not so friendly, but warmed up to us. It seemed like the waitstaff was a bit overwhelmed - they were running around frantically and the table behind us didn't see a waiter for 20 minutes after they were seated. I'm not really sure if this had anything to do with the wedding or what. I was disappointed that they only had one beer out of the three brewed on the premises available. I mean, if you advertise yourself as a microbrewery - the Southernmost microbrewery, if you will, maybe you should make sure that you don't run out of beer. But, the food was fantastic. My boyfriend and I shared a plate of the calamari as an appetizer - we've had better but then again we go to a lot of Italian restaurants. I had crabmeat stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon (heart attack heaven) while my boyfriend had macadamia nut encrusted salmon with rum butter. The portions are pretty big and very tasty. And don't even get me started on the coconut and pineapple bread!! Sooooooo good! We ordered a second round of the bread even though we could hardly finish our meals - it was that good. In comparison to other restaurants we dined at in Key West, we felt Kelly's gave the best bang for our buck. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the Conch Republic for its great atmosphere, fantastic food, and reasonable prices.

Set a few roads away from the lively Duval Street in a large white house, Kelly's has a ambiance that is indescribable by a single word. The 'Kiss The Girl' scene from The Little Mermaid springs to mind when I attempt to verbalize it. The whole combination of the sublime scene with the charismatic song bursting in the background echos the magnetism of Kelly's that enchanted myself and my party as we sat on the patio under a blanket of white lights that remind me of the twinkling fire-flies from the animated movie. As we began to dine we knew this place had more than just the air of magic. To start we ate a basket of coconut bread. That alone had me in heaven! The restaurant brews their own beers, to which our tongues found to be fascinatingly good. And as the southernmost brewery in the continental United States, the tourist in us felt a jab of glee. Dinner was delicious. I myself indulged in the coconut shrimp which was positively scrumptious. Everyone I was with was delighted with their meals whether they had ordered the apple smoked chicken, the seafood sautee or any other dish on the menu. To add to their glowing review, the service was incomparable. Prompt and extremely friendly, Key West is a place like no other. Our awesome waitress not only did a fabulous job in restaurant, but even met up with us after hours for drinks in town! Talk about individualized service =). That meal alone made our trip to Key West worth it and is one of the main reasons I'm craving to go back!

I really dig this place. It's nice to sit on the patio outside, enjoy some fresh seafood, beer, and the weather. Sure, you're not by the water, but it's okay, because you don't need to be to feel the breeze once the sun goes down. The location is cool, the building is old and classy, and the service is good. Our waitress was really friendly, and continued bringing us the fresh pineapple bread they serve with the meal. Really good... and with coconut butter? Oh joy! Blackened Mahi Mahi was really well done, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Fried shrimp with pineapple dipping sauce? Also perfect. The only negative was the rice, it tasted cheap and/or pre-made in huge bulk portions. As for the beer, from a homebrewer (and beer snobs) perspective, the locally brewed beer was definitely overcarbed and/or the yeast was stressed, causing all sorts of off flavors, at least in the Golden Lager. Either way, check it out, you should be happy that you did. Just make sure you get more fresh bread!

Go for the calamari and the fresh fish po' boy. Avoid the salads - they're so drenched in dressing that the lettuce is soggy and things get soupy. Our server was great - friendly and efficient with a whole lot of southern charm. The patio is gorgeous - a sprawling brick area surrounded by a white picket fence with a canopy of trees protecting you from the sun. Prices can be up there, but you are in the heart of Old Town Key West. Again, the seafood was excellent - that macadamia nut encrusted calamari is some of the best I've ever had. The shrip salad sandwich was a hit, but lemme tell you - that mahi po'boy was the best thing on that menu. The drinks were good - a properly made Dark 'n' Stormy and Cuban Mojito hit the spot, plus they brew their own beer on-site and you can even see the brewer off the back patio. Go for the seafood, avoid all salads, and you'll be all set.

Can't beat $2 microbrews during happy hour, but that's about it. None of their brews are noteworthy. Great place to get out of the sun. Can't comment on their food.

Nice outdoor patio, food was OK. We had the calamari with spicy orange dipping sauce - the calamari wasn't all that flavorful, and the sauce tasted exactly like General Tso's chicken sauce. Not so great. For a main I had the fish catch fried with coconut and a mango sauce - again, just not very flavorful, and very greasy. The scallop entre that my friend ordered had a good flavor, but way too salty. I probably wouldn't go back.

I am a local, and I have been to Kellys for happy hour many times. Nothing exceptional in any way. There are many other locations in town with vastly superior happy hour food. The real issue I take exception to is the slow and unenthusiastic attitude of the staff. It takes them forever to acknowledge you, and they move in slow motion. Tonight I walked in and almost twenty minutes after... still neither bartender asked for my food order. When I complained the bar manager told me to leave. How very professional of him. All he had to say was sorry, what would you like. Instead he went to the other end of the bar and cleaned glasses and refused to take my order. What a jack ass. Not a bad looking property, and the food is passable, but the bar staff is not only lacking, they flat out are unprofessional. If you are visiting our town do yourself a favor and go enjoy happy hour someplace else. Give the Half Shell, or Alanzo's a shot. They'll treat you right.

Best fish I have ever had! As a special they had a Parmesan encrusted grouper that had coconut butter and rice and it was absolutely amazing! We also had ceviche, which was rly good, and calamari as an appetizer. The bread was great, the atmosphere and service was phenomenal, def recommend this place

We were there checking out the area. Our group of four enjoys a good brew. Not impressed with the brews at Kelly's. Every beer we ordered was flat. We enjoyed the food, and the service was good. But either they weren't pumping in the co2 to the brew, or the brews were made to be flat and no flavor!

    (1)
  • Karen T.

Saw that they have microbrews and went for happy hour. Correction: they have microbrew - singular. It was OK, a little too hoppy for my group. We had dinner upstairs on the roof deck, which was had a gentle breeze, tropical landscaping, soft lighting and no bugs! Everyone in our group liked their entree (especially the Honolulu fish - so good!) with the exception of the person who ordered the pork and found it very overcooked and dry. The waitress was very nice and took it off the bill without asking. Housed in the historic Pan Am birthplace.

They have a micro brewery and a good happy hour so for that alone you might want to check this place out. The food here is excellent. The coconut shrimp with pineapple salsa was the best I ever had. My dining companion really enjoyed their pecan encrusted fish. Every time I go to Key West I always make time to eat here at least once.

This review is strictly for Muse, the bar upstairs Kelly's. I guess they're somewhat the same establishment. Whatevs. They've got lots of great beers to choose from. The staff are rock stars, especially the bartender. Oh man, the cook is pretty amazing too. He's a Mets/Jets fan. Endearing!! The Havana Red is great! Apparently, the locals will sometimes drink here (it's a block away from Duval). If you go upstairs to Muse and chat up the staff, they'll treat you right. The bartender almost bought me a spork to replace the one I lost to the rats in the Dry Tortugas. There are lots of coupons to the place too! You can easily find yourself a BOGO. Check the coupon books. Ask at the visitor's center in Marathon on your drive in. Apparently the happy hour half price wings are where it's at, also.

There is seemingly always something new to try in KW. This was maybe our 5th trip to KW and we finally made it to Kelly's. It was nice and quiet on the Wed. night that we visited. We were seated immediately and our waiter came over right away. I would give the food 4 stars and the beer 2 stars, hence the 3 star review. If I remember correctly we had the calamari for appetizer. It was more legs than we typically enjoy but it was tasty and we still enjoyed it. For dinner, both of us went with the Rasta Pasta which is KW pinks in a mango Alfredo sauce. Dinner was tasty and had a good portion of shrimps mixed into it. As for the "Southernmost Brewery" claim. I went with a Havana Red ale. Apparently the brewing side of the operation must be where they cut costs. The beer I had was for the most part flat, and tasted like a not so well-done home brew. We wanted to try the wings but they are only offered during happy hour and that's usually when we were taking our siesta. There's always next time!

This had to be the best Jamaican jerk chicken that I've ever had. Our waiter was great, and the setting on the outdoor patio was excellent. The prices were good, as was the service. I had their Key West Wheat Ale, and was underwhelmed, though. Honestly, my homebrewed wheat is much, much better. Next time I would try the sampler so that I could try the other two. You can see their three small-batch fermenters in the patio area, located inside. I'm not sure how they keep them cold enough to ferment properly with the door open... We might try to hit their happy hour, because I heard that the wings are fantastic.

  • Todd P.

We always visit Kelly's for happy hour when in Key West. Stopping for a couple margaritas and plate of wings is a great way to start another Duval Street evening. The drinks were very refreshing and service was prompt and the mild wings were just perfect. The bar was pretty well full by 4:30 PM on a Monday but everyone was having a good time.

  • Dessa R.

I had been dreaming about coconut shrimp for weeks, but intentionally held off, knowing I was coming to Kelly's. We barely had to glance at the lunch menu at all-- we knew what we wanted. A key lime margarita and some coco shrimp. The coconut shrimp were tasty, but came only 4 per order. The key lime margarita was also good, but extremely tart. We supplemented with the cornmeal-crusted calamari, but it wasn't as crispy as we had hoped. Re-reading the reviews, we maybe should have gone for the wings. Despite being only one of three tables, the service was so-so. Nice outdoor tables, quiet atmosphere for a peaceful vacation lunch.

We had our son & wife's reherrsal dinner here last March, we were upstairs overlooking the restaurant, & it was very nice. The food was very good & so was the service, the atmosphere is a top 5, filled with trees, flowers, plants & lights! Will go back for sure!

Best chicken wings (hot) ever!!!! Crispy crunchy batter, meaty wings, tossed in spicy awesomeness. Good happy hour drinks/prices. Also had the conch fritters...never tried these before so I don't know how they're "supposed" to taste. Not very impressed...just taste like doughy breadding. Kinda feels like a bar locals go to. Anywho I'm won over by the chicken wings alone!! Yum!!!

This is absolutely the best place I have ever been for HAPPY HOUR! The drinks are strong and perfect! The wings are cooked to perfection, I will never be able to find any that can compare! Thanks Kelly's for making my stay in Key West memorable. You have a great friendly staff!! I will miss you.

This place was great. Our party of five stopped in for a late dinner and really enjoyed the experience. Three of us started with the soup of the day, which was an awesome lobster and corn bisque and then it was on to the mains. I had the jerk chicken, which was outstanding and my wife had a salad with the local shrimp (known as pinks), which was great as well. My sister in law had a really nice flatbread. The only dish that wasn't amazing was the ribs, which were just ok. No one really cared for the sauce on those (two of our party ordered them). Drinks were great though, especially the hurricanes and key lime margaritas. Great, speedy service and really nice ambience too. Definitely worth a look in the area.

Best sandwich I've had in a while, and one of the best I've ever had. Chicken + brie on pineapple bread. Holy hell. And everything else I tasted--the side of pasta, samples from my friends--was equally delicious. Affordable, tasty, not as wild as everything on Duvall.

This place has tons of potential and has great ambience but it let us down. We went there for a drink before dinner (elsewhere) and were underwhelmed. We had heard the margaritas are amazing, but they were okay at best....certainly nothing special. The service wasn't great and the live musician's break lasted longer than we were there. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, because it looks like it could be fantastic but it wasn't.

There were 4 of us (my wife, her sister and husband) We were seated quickly after a bad experiance at another local spot. Great table to enjoy the evening stars. The waitress was great. She was a transplant from Maine. She was very helpful with meal tips. We got 2 Mahi mahi meals and 2 filets. They were fantastic.Drinks were very good as well. We will go back and pass it on to friends.

Awesome place although Kelly McGillis no longer owns it. Disappointing. I am curious to know if she actually lives here, however? Google her if you are interested to see how much she's changed since Top Gun! Best calamari ever; encrusted in Macadamia Nuts. Yum. Wonderful drinks. Fried shrimp was great, too. Actually, we only ordered appetizers and they were all awesome except for some tortilla dip that was probably not the right thing to order here. Skip the conch fritters. These were awful everywhere. Did anyone find a good place for them?? Seriously. I wouldn't eat "fritters" at the best of times; not here, either. So glad that the waitress warned us about these, too! Pleasant outdoor seating. A great place to try for casual fare on your first night in the Keys. Next time, we'll try Happy Hour so that it can earn a fifth star!

Brunch was fantastic. I had the island fruit French toast, and it was amazing. Cristi had the steak and eggs, steak was very tasty and tender. Service was reasonably good, no complaints. We sat near the bar in the left-front dining area. When the crazy rain started, the roof leaked, but I think it kind of added to the ambiance. ;)

Again, another disappointing key west dining experience. pasta was like it was sitting for hours and they were just waiting for someone to finally order it. Overpriced awful food.

I AM RATING KELLY'S FOR THEIR WINGS..... I am NOT a wings gal but we went to Kelly's for their happy hour margaritas and decided to try the Jamaican Jerk wings. All I can say is EXCELLENT!! The margaritas were good too. Both are on their happy our menu, which is makes them a great deal!

Happy hour is great, but follow up dinner at another time in the garden was not as impressive. Still on the list for Happy Hour, but not sure about trying dinner again.

Yep, it's Kelly McGillis from Top Gun - she owns this joint. Who knew? AND it was the original Pan Am ticket booth. So, a place not to be ignored by star-struck historians! Had brunch here and it was not too shabby. The quiche of the day was delish, and the garden omelet was cooked to perfection. Outdoor seating is really pleasant, although they put us in a weird corner near the back and it smelled a little bit from the kitchen exhaust. No biggie. The brunch left me wanting to come back for dinner!! Always a good sign!

The Keys is my second home and every time I go I have to visit Kelly's. The margaritas are probably my favorite anywhere. The key lime especially. One will give you a pretty good buzz, trust me. The food is always awesome and the free, fresh baked bread served with coconut butter is a special treat :) The service is always great and you can't beat the location. The outside seating area is so beautiful and at night the palms are lit with little twinkle lights. teehee! They also do wedding receptions. I would love to have mine there.

They had a good bar menu here. I got some skewered shrimp that had a real tangy like mayo mustard type sauce on them. Also had the mojo pork tostados, they were very generous with the cheese and it was super flavorful. I'd get them again.

Kelley's has GREAT happy hour specials 4-7pm. They're also a microbrew pub. The beers were so so. I wanted a really hoppy pale ale or IPA and they just didn't have it. That being said, you really can't beat $2 beers! We also ordered a half priced appetizer, jerked wings. They were sweet even though the bartender warned us they were the spiciest wing they offered (not spicy at all in my opinion, like not even a little), and they're breaded wings. But, they only cost $4.50. We will go back. The inside bar was air conditioned (though still warm) and everything is decorated like air planes (definitely a Top Gun themed place being Kelley McGillis' place). Overall, we liked it.

Excellent restaurant ! Very nice patio with shade. We really enjoyed the food and service from nice waiter. Entrees are very big, flavoured and not expensive. I really recommend seafood salad with interesting mandarines!

I kind of loved this place! We went for happy hour and saddled up at the bar for rum punch and chicken wings. Be careful with those wings though... they're really hot and really big!!! And the drinks... strong. Great HH prices and awesome service. If I was a townie, I'd for sure be a local!

This is a cute little place with a small staff. Food was okay, fine for lunch, small menu. We had the coconut shrimp to start (very good, with pineapple sauce), the blackened chicken sandwich (spicy), shrimp and crab melt (a bit bland and soggy). We had the key line margarita (delish!) and pan am panic (also delish!). The atmosphere and location are nice - quiet and sleepy. I would consider coming here again for lunch but not dinner. The service (thanks, Melissa!) and drinks were what saved it.

Tired of all the bar food consumed during the Monsoon of October '11, when we had nothing better to do than eat and drink for 3 days, we stumbled upon Kelly's. We made it time for the last 30 minutes of Happy Hour, and parked it at the bar before having dinner. The service was slow, and it did seem to cater more towards the locals than us tourist. But, what can you do? The drinks were tasty and the chicken wings AHHHH-MAZING!! We got an order of each caribbean, hot, and chile. Sorry B-Dubs & Hooters, Kelly's wings has you beat, hands down. Next we sat down for dinner service. I had heard great things about the jerked chicken, so that's what I got. The BF got the Wednesday night caribbean special: crab cake app, curried pork, and key lime pie. Everything was delish! My friend had seen a lunch sandwich that she really wanted to try, and the waiter/chef was nice enough to make it for her dinner entree. Everyone else was stuffed on wings, so they had a liquid dinner of mojitos. :) Dinner service was better than the bar service. Food definitely top notch! We will most likely come back here again, definitely for the H/H wings!! :)

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Kelly's. For all brides looking for a great place to have your reception, I highly recommend this place. The upstairs "treetop" patio area was great. The place itself has so much charm. The event planner was wonderful to work with. She was there throughout the entire event to make sure that everything went smoothly. It rained the evening of our wedding and the event planner had the tables outside set up and taken down various times to accommodate the weather. Even though it was drizzling, she set the tables up once again when we said we wanted to be outside. She was waiting for us when we arrived and promptly got us both a drink and food. The food is absolutely delicious. The event planner packed up to-go boxes for both my new husband and I (we had a buffet & there was extra food). It was just big enough for our party, but not too big. The fact that we had a bar and a restroom to ourselves was beyond awesome. The only things that I didn't like so much, to no fault of anybody at Kelly's, were these: The treetop patio is actually not just one big area, but two separate areas with the bar in the middle. One section is covered and the other is uncovered. I'm sure bigger parties could work it out that they use both sides or possibly just one or the other. We only had 20 people but used both sides due to weather. The covered section was a little hotter than comfortable, even with the fans. Overall, great place for a wedding reception! Highly recommended!

Stopped in for a drink on a Sunday afternoon. What a mistake. The smug guy behind the bar stood in front of us for 5 minutes before even acknowledging we were there. Finally took our drink orders with a load of attitude, then was nasty and condescending when he forgot one of the drinks and we reminded him. Really?? This guy works for tips??? Whoever the Owners are need to get rid of this guy before he chases off all of their business. Will never go back again and urge everyone to take their business elsewhere. Oh, there was also a woman behind the bar who never turned around to acknowledge us either (she was 3 feet away from us) before Mr. Bad Attitude finally decided to help us. Disaster

Make it a mission to go to Kelly's every time we're in key west. Best Happy Hour in town. Thai Chili wings are amazing. If you're looking for great drinks at a low price go to Kelly's for Happy Hour! Just off Duval so you don't get the Duval madness, but close enough so that you can join the madness after a few margaritas.

I stopped here on two separate nights for a mojito and some dessert. Both times I was not disappointed. This is a fun, low key place that is a cut above the average Key West touristy bar. The mojitos were very tasty and the bartender was friendly. The Key Lime Pie was sweet, so if you don't like tart Key Lime Pie this is your place. They have a ton of seating. There is plenty of indoor seating, but the outdoor courtyard is the way to go. The service was excellent, and it was reasonably priced. If you are looking for a respite from the craziness that is Duval Street this is your place. The courtyard is peaceful, the drinks are good, and the food delicious. Check it out.

This place is Very under rated, all our apps, soups, salads and entrées were right on. The calamari was to die for, perfect just perfect. Coconut shrimp most excellent. The Jerk Chicken very good. Wait staff made this a very good choice for us. Atmosphere is very Key West U will enjoy.

Have no idea what people are complaining about. Discovered this place by accident - loved it. Great beer, great fish, my family is hard to please - but everybody enjoyed it. Waiter was outstanding - not pushy, really nice and giving very helpful advices. It a 5 star place no doubt.

Cool story of this place being the original Pan Am office and being owned by Kelly McGinnis of Top Gun fame. Our server was nice and attentive enough. However I can't give any more than 2 stars because of the food. We order weed from the lunch menu. I had the the fried fish po boy and my husband had the Tuscan chicken sandwich. I was intrigued to try the mango Alda and key lime aioli on the po boy. The key lime flavor was no where to be found. The Mandy salsa was good, but there was barely any on the sandwich. The fish is beer battered and I had to look long and hard to find any fish in that batter. My husband found his sandwich to be edible but nothing special. Wish we would've found somewhere else to eat on our only day in Key West!

Bad service right from the start. Around 4:15pm on a weekday and staff saw us two standing at the "wait to be seated" sign and passed three times without acknowledging us. We are a mixed couple of various races. Very disappointed but they seem to not care for our money - so we will take it where a restaurant appreciates us.

Came here for lunch while on vacation with my family and we are so glad we stopped by. The food was amazing, the server was awesome and the drinks were a bucket of goodness!!!! Some of my family decided to do the ghost tour the following night that leaves from Kelly's, so those of us who decided not to go had our own "spirit" tour that started at Kelly's with a nice big bucket of goodness!!!! Will come back here again when we return to Key West!

Been to Kelly's many times and will continue to go back. The food on menu is certainly not the best but it is indeed good stuff. Kelly's is all about their happy hour. The Thai Spiced Chili wings are probably the best wings I've ever eaten (can only be ordered on HH bar menu)....Crazy good! The Key Lime margarita is the best flavored rita on the island. Don't expect impeccable service but the HH drinks and prices certainly make up for that shortcoming.

  • Mandi C.

More interesting menu online than presented in person. We were told the limited selections were because they were "just about to drop a new fantastic menu". We also asked if there was a special for the night and the waiter said the "chef had the night off cause she needs a break too". These disappointments were followed by a hot beer and watery mojito. We decided to just leave at that point and try our luck somewhere else. It was too bad for Kelly's, I think they have/had potential to be a nice place.

We just returned home from a great vacation in Key West. Kelly's was one of our favorite spots while there. Chuck and his staff are great and provide friendly service. You can't beat their happy hour! Their beers are $2 and some of the best wings we have ever had.... Oh yeah and the restaurant is beautiful with tall banyon trees and orchids. We loved it!

Went to try their beer. Only have 3 types so we got a flight and found out pan am airlines was founded in that building and some of top gun was shot there, very cool history of the place. Just sat at the bar didn't eat, liked their beer, I'll be back in the future.

So as the annoying tourists we are, we walked the streets to find that "best" place to eat. By the time we were starving, I literally told my dad to not even look at the menu, let's just eat. Ambiance was 5 stars, service was great, the food was eh... we were so hungry, ordered coconut shrimp app and calamari, both sub par. The complimentary Hawaiian Bread with Coconut Butter was awesome and replenished upon request. I had the Mahi Mahi with Jerk Glaze..too sweet and under seasoned. Veggies that accompanied it were under cooked. My dad order the local favorite of yellow snapper and they were out. My mom's chicken penne was good but we are literally seconds from the water so we were looking for seafood treasures. Great service and ambience but DO not recommend the cuisine.

Good Caribbean and brewery place at key west. A romantic outdoor space but also an indoor tables in case it rains. Loved the conch salad. Also had the black and blue ahi tuna but it was just ok. A lot of wasabi and ginger with an Asian salad. Craft brew was also ok...red ale was the best. Rest ok. Service was good too but thought that it took a bit too long to get out server at times.

We went to Kelly's on a busy Saturday night. We had a charming waitress who was attentive even with a full house. The food was good to very good, better than most I'd say. Ambiance was superb, nice breeze and great patio set up. I would eat here again!

    (4)
  • Jay K.

The outdoor seating, under the tree canopy, with soft lighting and lots of fauna around, made eating at Kelly's a memorable experience. The flash fried calamari was good served with a citrus chili sauce and the fresh grouper encrusted with fresh shaved coconut and served with a mango butter was incredible. Unfortunately, the night we went they had run out of their own micro brews. A must dine at in Key West!

Horrible service. We sat at the bar and the bartender was extremely rude. He walked by us multiple times without even acknowledging us. Took forever to get any refills and order food. Beer cheese dip was delicious, craft beers mediocre.

Mediocre at best. Craft beers not very good. Food was even worse. Enjoy your movies... Did not enjoy your pub.

The beers are pretty bad. The appetizers were decent and the only reason I didn't give this one star. The bartender was also pretty rude. Key West could use a good craft beer spot. This ain't it.

By far the worst meal we had this trip. Coconut shrimp was rubber and batter with about 5 coconut shreds, ahi tuna with key lime ponzu sauce was actually tuna dipped in pepper and old bay with steak sauce with sesame seeds... Heard the staff yelling at manager in a dress shirt, they closed off two of the rooms saying there would be no dinner service tonight...clearly not a good day here or something. Definitely some mismanagement going on here. Was shocked to see the disorganization and very loud chaos going on between staff members. Very sad for the employees here :( People came down from upstairs complaining they were up there for 30 mins without anyone ever coming back up there to even take their drink order, I ordered an app as my lunch which they then brought out as an app do the table despite asking me twice if it was my lunch or an app, my husband's order was wrong and took them 18 mins to get another plain hamburger out and our friend's meal looked like something from a fast food joint. Not trying to be mean, but it was really really awful. Maybe with this level of tourism you can get away with this, but it would die where we live. Like in the red in less than a year. The food is definitely frozen and not cooked or even given any real attention at all. Don't eat here - just get a drink!!!! Best part of the entire meal the key lime margarita.

This place is going downhill. New GM and bar manager were bad decisions. Staff morale is terrible. I guess the tourist trade will keep things going, for a while....We are looking for a new go-to. The summer months could be bleak here...

I went here years ago and tried the Thai chili wings, which turned out to be amazing! I just went back and decided to get those wings again. The wings were just like I remembered. However there wasn't really a host seating anybody, he was just a server that said, "Hey, sit anywhere you want." We sat outside at a high top table that kept getting bombarded with berries from an overhead tree. The berries landed in our drinks and on our plates. Then we ordered pulled pork nachos, which I was super excited about. I know good barbecue and this pulled pork was just not cutting it. And there was just something about the barbecue sauce, there was some sort of funk to it that totally turned me off. So go here for happy hour because it's a good deal, but don't sit under the berry tree and don't order the pulled pork nachos! Oh, and my boyfriend's beer was warm. Not just the first beer, but the second too. WOOF.

Note to Key West Diners - Kitchens on the island close early - usually by 10PM. This means that your butt better be in a seat by 9:30 or so or you're getting a meal from a pissed off chef. Our party of 8 almost had to go bar hopping without dinner one night, but luckily I called Kelly's at 9:40 and they graciously accommodated our party. This is a great spot away from the hustle and bustle of Duval, just one block over on Whitehead street. They have a great full bar here and also sever some local brews from the Southernmost brewery. On the advice of Patrick L, we tried the conch fritters and they were delicious - piping hot with just the right amount of breading. I wasn't impressed by their dinner menu - pretty standard Keys/Bar fare and a little pricey for $20 an entree. However, their daily specials are GREAT. They happened to have a 1.5 pound Maine lobster special for $18 that night. Uhhhh let's see Shrimp & Crab cakes for $20, or Maine Lobster for $18....DUH!! I also ordered a Rib-eye special for $22. The specials were a much better deal than the regular menu for sure. Lobster was yummy although messy since it's served in the shell. Rib eye was cooked nicely and wasn't too fatty. Service here was awesome and so grateful they sat our big party close to closing time. We stayed well past 10 because it was raining and they did not rush us to get out even though the doors were locked. Definitely a spot to hit up if you are in the area!

Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food. Respectable beer. A friend of mine recommended this place and I almost didn't go after reading the Yelp reviews. Whatever bad experiences other had, I did not. I took my wife and two adult children for dinner at 6:00pm on a Tuesday. We were seated outside immediately. Our server was awesome. We each ordered different entrees: yellow tail snapper; mahi mahi; salmon; seafood pasta. All were excellent. It's funny. About 10 years ago I was looking for a place to celebrate my wife's Xth birthday (I don't dare say the year) in Tampa and almost ruled out a place because of bad reviews. We went anyway and had a great experience. Fast forward to today: I told my wife about my friend's recommendation and the many negative reviews and she said, "look at what we would have missed out on in Tampa if we didn't take a chance." She was right, as usual...

I discovered Kelly's on a recent trip to KW...it is located in an historic old structure which used to be Pan Am's first office in the 1920s and the bar looks like it's made from an airplane wing. It's just a block off Duval, but much more chill than being on the strip. They brew their own beer, so I stopped by to sample it...had the Havana Red which hit the spot. They have a nice shady patio which is great for daytime drinking. I didn't try the food but intend to visit again next time I'm in town. They also have a happy hour with $2 drafts and specially priced snacks.

My boyfriend and I went here for a early dinner snack over the weekend and had no problem getting a table. We split the skirt steak which came with rice and plantains. The drinks and entree were nothing more than average, especially for the price, however the bread was great. Our server was excellent and all of the staff seemed very nice and helpful.

We went there the other night and didn't have the best experience. The menu online wasn't updated so the food we were looking forward to was no longer available. I'm not going to waste much time on this review because I already feel I've wasted enough on this establishment. The courtyard seating is lovely but don't let it fool you. The food is bland and the drinks are weak. You've been warned.

The food was not great. I ordered grilled chicken sandwich, which came after a long time and was dry and charred. It is pricy for the experience provided. It's Americanized 'Caribbean' which doesn't do justice carribean food lovers. Definitely a restaurant to avoid if you care for your palette and wallet.

Came here in search of good happy hour specials after wandering the streets of Key West, and found $3 key lime margaritas. They also offered some draft beers for happy hour, but the one my partner wanted was not included in the special, so he ordered their "super margarita". Both were just OK in my opinion, nothing too far from your standard margarita, but refreshing none the less. Also indulged in some half priced apps- tried their "famous" wings and the smoked mahi spread. Again, both were just okay. I'm not really a fan of breaded wings, and knowing the potential for sogginess, we ordered our sauces (jerk and hot) on the side. Meh. I guess I'm kind of a wing snob though- like them straight up buffalo style, fried wing + wing sauce, and no breading. Mahi spread was kind of meh too. Good smoked flavor, but nothing amazing here. The crackers they serve it with will leave you in sure thirst, as they're very dry. To be frank, the ambiance was the best part. the patio was nice, and I liked the market lights and orchids hanging in the trees. Cheap eats and drinks at happy hour, and I'm sure there are good offerings on their regular menu.

You can meet so real interesting people here. Dinner outside is great and the steak was great. They offer some interesting craft beers. It is nice and quiet and the server we had was super nice. We don't go here every time we are in Key West because there are so many places, but, this is one of my favorites.

I was super excited to check out Kelly's, it was high on my list of things to check out. It ended up probably being the most disappointing place on our trip. We had to wait forever to be acknowledged, then the person left and never came back. We wondered around and found a place at the bar downstairs. Once again it took forever for the person at the bar to help us, I asked for a menu and she ended up helping everyone else at the bar people even just grabbing a menu for me. Since the service was so bad we decided to just have one drink and go. The "house" beers were not impressive so one drink was enough.

Good beer and delicious Oreo crusted key lime pie. Our bartender was super nice and chatted with us about key west and their Fancy Festival (look it up if you haven't heard of it!) Wifi included was moderately fast but great for emails and facebook. I need to come back to try the food!

We arrived at Kelly's right at the start of dinner service. We sat outside. Our server was attentive and gave us our beers at happy hour prices even though we weren't at the bar. Everyone in our party had dinner. We also had an appetizer and drinks. Our app was the calamari, which as tender as you could ever want, and just great. It came with somewhat spicy dipping sauce that was good, too. The beers (made on premises) were well suited to the environment. My wife had an unchallenging red ale and I had a wheat beer that was good enough but was improved with a slice of orange. Each of us had entrees; my wife had the pork which was tender and tasty. I had the plantain encrusted chicken breast which also was tender and had a delicious crust. My wife's mother had the coconut shrimp which was cooked to near perfection and was seasoned just right with coconut and spices. It us important to note that the ambiance is quite nice outside and the bar area pays homage to the history if the building as the original headquarters if Pan-Am Airways.

This is my first time in key west I have had a wonderful time thus far. Food, drinks, weather - it's paradise. I was given a suggestion to check out Kelly's for their happy hour from a key west repeat offender. The drink specials were great, the Key Lime Margarita (on the rocks option only, which is fine for me) was perfect. Good job bartenders. The wings were okay, being a Native Jersey girl and know my wings I wasn't blown out of the water. Still hungry I ordered the Black and Blue Ahi, seared Ahi with some local spices - sauce was good but the Tuna was chewy, and stringy - blah. If it wasn't half price for the apps at happy hour, I'd be really pissed but whatever. I love love tuna and was kinda annoyed, so I probably won't be back. Womp womp womp.

Kelly's = lifesaver. We were super hot and gross (my brother and I both a little hungover as well) and severely needing to eat. Thankfully Kelly's is off the beaten path a bit near the Little White House and was perfect. Our server was a little kooky, but definitely as great a server can be and very friendly, willing to trade stories back and forth. My mom (shocker!) ordered the flight of beers, all a little different than what we were used to. The Golden Ale definitely needs a little orange. Red Ale, very good, and the other beer a little too hoppy for me. Fried calamari - a little too rubbery for me but since it's not fresh (and you can't get it fresh in KW) I didn't expect much. Jamaican jerk burger = not too spicy/jerky flavored despite "jerk infusions" in the meat, what made it was this teriyaki sauce he gave me. My mom didn't stop raving about her salad from here until after we got home (and we ate there Friday). My brother ate his entire meal, so my take was he enjoyed it.

Great food, ambiance, and service! This is a fun place with a beautiful patio. Our server Jan was awesome: fun, efficient, and full of good tips on Key West and the menu. I got the pan-seared snapper with jerk glaze on her recommendation...yum! My girlfriend had the blackened grouper which was also delicious. Highly recommended!

On our first trip to Key West, we loved Kelly's! We went there for dinner 2 times in a week. They have an adorable outdoor patio and the food was great. However, on our most recent trip in February, we stopped by for breakfast and it was pretty abysmal. I don't know if we caught them at a bad time or if the quality has plummeted. Our server was frazzled and running around, and it only looked like she had about 3 tables. The table we sat at was sticky and disgusting. The stuffed french toast was inedible. Not sure we will risk it again.

    1) delicious house brewed pints (my favorite is the wheat) during happy hour: $4 (best beer bargain in town!) 2) entrees of local caught mahi and tuna prepared blackened or pan seared with yellow rice and asparagus that was the tastiest I've had in a while: $23 3) watching the locals walk in from Truman Annex, pack out the bar and get hammered during happy hour: priceless! I highly recommend this restaurant for it's outstanding atmosphere, food variety, originality and preparation and reasonable prices. Our waiter was awkward but so friendly and eager to please. A wonderful experience.

We went for Happy Hour and I am convinced they have the best deal going, 2$ drafts and half priced appetizers. The beer was good and we sampled the grilled shrimp app as well as the wings. Both were well worth the less than 5$ they charged. I can't speak to eating in the restaurant but, the bar was great. The bar tenders were super busy but did an awesome job keeping the drinks full and us happy!

The only thing that really threw me off about this place was when I asked the waiter what the ABV% of the "Golden Ale" she looked at me dumb-founded and asked what it was. After explaining it to her she claimed the bartender knew. So after asking the Bartender he also didnt know either and said the "Brewmaster" was the only one that knew and that he wasnt there. After visiting many breweries in the southeast myself all of the breweries except this one listed the abv% of the beer that they brewed. They need to include it on the chalkboard. The Golden Ale was far from the taste of an IPA. other than that. The Coconut Shrimp was awesome with the Pineapple dipping sauce. My Girlfriend and I almost got up and left the resturant after being seated, we sat for 15 mins before we were asked for our drink suggestions and then after the waiter and other staff members not knowing about the beer they brew just tipped it off the rest of the way. Overall it was pretty good, the staff needs to bush up on their "beer knowledge" as they are working at a brewery.

For a "micro brewery" only: mediocre beers. Only had two of three avail and only the wheat was "decent" flagship red wasn't avail. Good atmosphere though. Bar tender didn't seem knowledgable not caring about their beers. 3 stars cuz their beers during happy hour r only $2!!!

Great happy hour but you have to sit in the bar area which fills up fast. The local beers on tap are good, nothing amazing that i wish i could find everywhere but I do enjoy them. Bar staff provided awful service and this wasn't the first time we experienced it so I feel like maybe its just how they are (and we didnt just go for happy hour everytime). One thing to note is that we never sat in the restaurant seating area and it looks super romantic so I'd consider trying that next time. The restaurant gets rented out from time to time for weddings because it is set up just so cute and romantic with all of the big trees and soft lighting.

I was at Kelly's last weekend and was not disappointed. My whole group had Key lime margaritas. Don't be fooled by the sweetness, they are strong, but yummy. My boyfriend and I shared the conch chowder, coconut shrimp app and seafood sautee- all were super delicious. Also, the pineapple coconut bread they give you is amazing!! We asked for seconds!

I received a personal message from one of the managers at Kelly's regarding the negative review I wrote back in October. She said that this particular bitter individual that I described is no longer with their restaurant now. She hopes that everyone has a better experience dining at Kelly's from now on. I haven't been to the Keys since fall, but I am confident that the changes they seem to have made to Kelly's are positive enough to give them a try again the next time I come down there. The atmosphere and history of Pan-Am was really nice, just try to catch them on a busy night for a good dining experience, I presume.

We always try to visit Kelly's when in Key West, but the last few times has been disappointing. The food is some of the best in Key West, but the service is always slow. Drinks go dry, and when you do order refills it's often 10 - 15 minutes before you see them. The staff is always apologetic but for the prices I expect better than 'island- mon Jamaica service. And we go during the middle of the day when they're almost empty.

The best blackened Mahi Mahi ever. We ate upstairs ate Muse. The music was entertaining, the micro brew was excellent and the food was outstanding. The fish was fresh, moist, and well seasoned. Rice, asparagus and carrot on the side were all well prepared. The key lime pie with Oreo cookie crust was the best I have had on the island. Fresh, not thawed like one of the pie shops near Mallery square. Overall, a very good experience.

World's best wings! Hands down! Coming straight from a snorkeling trip to Kelly's... my only complaint is that the margarita glass was too salty... likely a result of coming from the ocean. Had a great time - sat at the bar. Awesome drinks and wings!

We wanted to eat at the awesome restaurant across the street (Grunt's), but their kitchen was closed, so we ate at Kelly's. Service was good, but the food was mediocre at best. I've never met a plate of calamari I didn't like, but the calamari I ordered tonight had absolutely no taste - like styrofoam with fancy sauce. Beer was flat, medium-rare hamburger was well done and the conch fritters were bleh. Very disappointing food - the building and surroundings were nice and the server was friendly and apologetic, so maybe if they fire the chef it would be a good place.

Kelly's is (blissfully) off of the Duval Street main drag in Key West, and on this Monday summer night, was almost empty of obnoxious tourists. They have a really cute outdoor patio with lighted trees (and fans!) and the tables are inserted around the existing old-growth trees - really nice place to sit. I wanted to go to Kelly's just to try the jerk burger (w/fries), and I was knocked out; easily one of the top 2-3 burgers I've ever had. And at $12.95, one of the most affordable dinner entree choices on Key West. My wife had the market fresh Mahi Mahi with plantain sauce (approx $25), and we both thought it was excellent - we always share, and she really liked my burger. The Mahi came with a generous side of curry coconut rice and lightly steamed fresh vegetables. It was a BIG piece of fish, too, so a pretty good deal for the price. They have breakfast and lunch menus too. The service was really good - very attentive.

We had been contemplating booking a private party for our wedding guests at your restaurant. After our experience there this week I can say my family and will never frequent there again let alone subject our guests to your staff. I have to say we were greeted by a friendly server/hostess and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. We asked to sit inside to get out of the heat for a bite. Our actual server, Jan, came over to the quiet room and basically scolded us for sitting in there. "Why are you sitting in here?!" she shouted. She made it very clear she didn't want to be bothered to come to that room to serve us but didn't actually come out and say it. So we just said, we can move if its really a big deal. If theres a section of your restaurant you don't want to fill, don't sit us and hand us menus. After she led us to the noisy bar area, she preceded to tell us all the foods you didn't have, in a very rude and condescending voice as if we didn't understand the idea of a substitute for a fish or that beer may be out of season. Every interaction with her was like being talked down to, she was consistently loud and mean. Angry when she had to repeat something or answer a question. She never took a drink order till we ate, she answered our question with "WE DONT HAVE THAT, MOVE ON!". Undoubtedly the worst experience we have ever had in any establishment in Key West as we are here 2 to 3 weeks a year. People are entitled to bad days, but this one cost your business a big wedding party.

Our server was energetic, friendly, and knowledgeable. The meal started with beers, they have a good draft selection but we tasted two of the beers brewed on site and were disappointed with both. Perhaps we are used to craft beers that need to ferment in colder temperatures. The coconut bread as an appetizer is awesome, the spinach salad too, and we got two outstanding fish dishes. Mine was a spicy snapper filet and my husband got the grouper over polenta. The setting among the trees is breathtaking. This place is a peaceful and delicious escape for the frenzy of downtown Key West.

After driving four hours from Palm Beach County, we were famished for a good meal and at the recommendation of a Key West veteran we decided to hit up Kelly's for lunch. We were seated in an awkward corner back table to where the server could not see us and poor communication between the host and server who did not inform the server they had a table, we had to chase down the host to figure out what was going on. My medium burger was a touch above rare to the point I considered doing the unfathomable and sending it back. It's an average place, which has likely seen better days judging by how many people were here at lunch during tourist season.

Headed here after a pool day to hit up the happy hour everyone was talking about. We got there early around 4:30 and managed to all get seats at the bar (score!). We each ordered different drinks that were on special for happy hour, my favorite being the Key Lime Margarita. I first ordered a Key West Golden Ale that was on special for $2, however I was not a fan. And I like MOST beers. But, to each his own. We also ordered the happy hour wings, which are breaded but amazing. We each got an order of a dozen I think and devoured them. The meat fell right off the bone. The place was pretty busy slingin' wings but got ours out pretty fast. Service wasn't their forte, but it wasn't bad. I'd like to go back and sit on the back lower patio area. It seemed to have a totally different vibe than the rowdy bar area. (Okay, if was definitely our fault the bar area was rowdy, however I'd like to see another aspect of the place). Also, there's an indoor seating area connected to the bar area for those afraid of the outdoors or wanting some shade on their vacation.

Zero stars. Service was awful, management oblivious, and the food cold and bland. Avoid!

  • Jennifer Z.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Our impression of this place was bad the moment we asked for a table. As soon as we said we had twelve people in our party, the woman taking names looked at us in shock and said, "Twelve?!" Then she said, "It's just that I have to put tables together, move some chairs, and find a server for you." Umm, isn't that your job at a restaurant? The woman looked very flustered. A few minutes later, we were sat. There were plenty of empty tables, so I am not sure what the big deal was about sitting a large group. Things didn't get much better when the server showed up. The first thing he said when he came to the table was "This is all going to be on one check, right?" Twelve people on one check? I don't think so. I said we had 6 couples, could he split it that way? He said he would be able to do that, but then later I heard the woman who sat us complain to another table as she was sitting them down that "things were hectic" and they had "a lot of large parties requesting separate checks." After the appetizers arrived, my husband and I realized we never got our appetizer that we had ordered. We kept looking around for the server, and when he showed up again, he was bringing out the dinner plates, so we decided to tell him that we never got our appetizer (to which he just said, "Okay") and we just wanted it taken off our bill. One friend ordered the chicken pasta but was served a chicken dish. She politely told the server that she ordered the chicken pasta, and he just picked the plate up and disappeared back toward the kitchen. I was almost done with my meal when her pasta came out from the kitchen, but the sauce was very watery. Other people at our table had ordered the same pasta, and the sauce was thick and creamy. So I am not sure what happened, but needless to say, she wan't happy with her dish. I ordered the lobster ravioli. The ravioli itself was good, but the sauce was just too sweet. It wasn't until after we finished eating and paying our bill that the server came over and said that he was sorry about us not getting our appetizer and that he could bring it out for us if we wanted it, free of charge. At that point, we really just wanted to get out of there, so we said thanks but no. It's too bad this place isn't better because it's in an ideal location and the outdoor seating area is very cute. But for now, the words "tourist trap" come to mind, and no one working there seemed happy about being there. We felt like we were a burden to them, and that's not how you are supposed to feel at a restaurant, especially when you are coughing up as much money as we did to eat there.

Their beer (the ones they brew or have brewed) are mediocre. Had the Blackened Grouper. Pretty good but was really pricey for the portion size. Big, crowded place that seems to service the cruise ships that dock near by. Waitress was very nice and worked hard. OK place but you can do much better in Key West.

3-star for the food. 5-star for happy hour specials Had lunch here, my jerk chicken salad wasn't very good, the jerk chicken platter was pretty decent though. After lunch, went to the bar for the happy hour, while sorta empty the specials were very good. They seemed to be some of the best specials on the island. Other's have described them in detail... I'll just say the drinks themselves were excellent.

I wasn't expecting to like this place as much as I did; in fact, it might have pulled off a 5-star rating from me, if not for the mediocre selections coming from this brewpub's taps. But more on the beer later - the ambience and food were right on point. Located in a historic Pan Am building, with a sprawling but serene backyard, there's plenty of room. Service was highly efficient, and as I said - the food really knocked it out of the park. Conch fritters were perfect, the old Key West staple brought up to date with a fruity/spicy chutney. Ceviche consisted of scallops, shrimp and fish - a decent-sized portion with a nice tangy marinade. For the night's large plate, I went with the Honolulu Catch of the Day - an impressive fish fillet served with a Key Lime ponzu sauce, giving the delicate fish a sweet-and-tart flavor. The fillet was on a bed of soba noodles, helping lend an interesting Asian flair to the decidedly Caribbean/South Pacific fusion already happening. Dessert was a cake/mousse with a fruit I sadly don't remember due to the day's drinking starting to have an impact on me at that point, but it was served with violet ice cream, and I do remember that. Violets smell like old-lady perfume, and this ice cream had much of the same aroma, with a sweet creme de violette taste like an Aviation cocktail. Unfortunately, now I must come to the beer. Per the menu, the Havana Red Ale is the brewery flagship, so I ordered it. They didn't have it, which left a mere two choices, the Southern Clipper Wheat and the Key West Golden. The Golden was "OK," with a modest hop bite obscured by a little too much diacetyl (buttery) character. The Wheat was a real disappointment, as it couldn't hold a decent crown of foam, and in fact was nearly flat. So, you're at a brewpub, and given a mere two choices, one of which is a flat wheat beer? That's kind of a fail on the beer end of things, and ultimately caused me to drop my overall rating - otherwise, this was bumping up against the 4-star ceiling and threatening to break through. Recommended - here's to hoping they can step up the beer quality!

A perfect spot for lunch. They serve lunch food and "morning favorites". Great outdoor setting in a quaint neighborhood! Fantastic service and delicious food. We ate early, around 11:30, so only a few of the tables were occupied. We stopped on a whim (sought out the building because it was the first PanAm HQ), and were pleasantly surprised! Would definitely recommend for lunch, and it appears Yelp loves the Happy Hour specials!

Last time I was here was about 2 years ago, and sadly the quality of the beer has gone downhill since then. Odd aftertastes and just not very good as far as microbrew goes. Very sad, since this is the only microbrewery in the Keys. Not sure if the majority of tourists who visit here would truly appreciate the quality of a good craft brew, but there is definitely a hole in the market here that needs to be filled. Food was probably 3 stars, but beer was 1 star, so averages out to a 2 star place now. Very sad.

I am reviewing based on their happy hour. The quest for "deals" on booze and food unrelentingly drives my behavior in the waning hours of the afternoon. Kelly's didn't have a mind-blowing happy hour, but depending on what you're looking for, it could make you delightfully happy. Kelly's has a few tasty house-brewed drafts on tap that happen to be 1/2 price during happy hour. If you're more into liquor, they also do $5 margaritas. What I was truly intrigued by, but did not get because I have my inner fat kid under control, were the wings. The wings were huge, and completely enveloped in saucy goodness. Frank's Red Hot wafted through the air, captivating the senses much like the smell of jasmine on a lover's neck. Except in this case, your lover is likely to be covered in fried, greasy goodness, but, meh, whatever, hot sauce freakin' rocks. If you're in the mood for wings and beer during happy hour, come here!

We returned to Kelly's on a recent trip to Key West, as we really enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food on a visit years ago. Well, the magic is gone. Maybe we can blame the atmosphere on the fact that it was still light when we ate this time, so the outdoor lighting on the patio wasn't on yet. But the food has also gone downhill. The conch fritter appetizer was tough and not memorable. I had a pork dish (Ok, after a week in Florida I was ready for something other than seafood...) which was dry, not at all tasty, and a disappointment. The service was prompt, but with a bit of an attitude. All in all, not what we had hoped for on a return trip.

Fantastic place! They do not take reservations for groups less than 7, so we headed right there after the sunset festival on a weeknight and were happy to be seated right away by a friendly hostess at an outdoor table under a canopy of lighted trees. The tables are adequately spaced so that you had have a conversation without imposing on anyone else's. Our waiter was Alvin - friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Accommodated our mildly picky 12 year old easily. The menu is interesting and creative without being fussy or overpriced. We stuck to the fresh catch selections - all well prepared and beautifully presented. The desserts were just OK. Would recommend this place.

We stopped at Kelly's when we were caught in a downpour leaving the Truman Little White House. A really sweet host pointed me in the direction of the ladies room to get un-drenched, making sure to note they had awesome hand dryers. Looking a bit less drowned rat, we grabbed a couple seats at the near empty bar (it was 2pm, after all) and got some drinks. Best mojitios I had in Key West, not too sweet with a good balance of mint and lime. My husband had a house red ale and really liked it. We split a couple apps, the wings with sweet chili sauce and the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail was great, but overpriced. The wings, though, were AMAZING. The bartender told us they go through tons of them at happy hour, and I believe it. Overall, good apps and good drinks, but a little too pricey for what it is.

As people have said, great happy hour--and it seemed to be a locals place rather than a noisy tourist atmosphere, which was quite nice. We really liked the atmosphere here--there are both indoor and outdoor seating as well. They have great beers on tap, which is just what we were looking for! Next time I would like to try the food!

This was one of those perfect meal experiences that just came together on its own. We walked past this place on the way to watch the sunset at Mallory Square. After reading the Black & Blue Ahi Tuna app description we were intrigued and decided to stop back after the sunset. Thanks to Yelp reviews we knew to ask to be seated on the roof. Hostess was very friendly and immediately gave us our choice of available tables, we ended up right near the railing overlooking the street and under a tree draped in beautiful orchids. It was a lovely warm evening and the whole atmosphere was like an island paradise. Hubs ordered the Key Lime Margarita and liked it, just the right tangy/sweet mixture. I, who never ever orders mojitos because they are too sweet, ordered the Cuban Mojito and was in heaven with it...perfect blend of fresh mint and lime, and the Havana rum is far less sweet than Bacardi, very refreshing. Our waitress Melissa was just perfect, friendly and knowledgeable and very efficient. The Black and Blue Ahi Tuna appetizer...probably the single best thing we ate on our entire vacation. Perfect spice on the crusting, seared rare with lime ponzu juice...we devoured it (4 nicely sized slices of tuna plus greens made this a perfect size dish for 2 people). The house bread (coconut and pineapple) is outrageous, just delicious. We each opted for the Honolulu catch of the day which in this case was Escolar served over soba noodles in a key lime ponzu sauce. Just so good, so light and fresh. We loved every bite, and finished it too. We even had room left for a slice of their key lime pie, really enjoyed it on the oreo crust which is a different variety than others we tasted. If you're looking for a relaxed island experience with fresh seafood, this is the place for you. Thanks for a wonderful meal Melissa!

friendly staff, good food, prices a little high, but I guess for Key West on par with anywhere else. I wouldn't classify the jerk chicken as authentic though, but it was consistent with other floribbian jerk I had, not really spicy, but the chicken itself was well prepared. I had drink that was well made, although the key lime margarita on the rocks was pretty disappointing. Tasted like a lot of sugar, no discernable key lime flavor to it, but that could be server error.

One of the best happy hours in Key West. $2 microbrews, $3.50 margaritas, and half price apps from 4-7 everyday. The bar is on the back deck and then they also have a huge patio for outdoor dining. Everytime some comes to visit we always take them here and everyone always loves it. They also have some of the best wings on the island. (the spicy chili ones)

I can't say anything about the beer, as we don't drink, but I can attest to the food, atmosphere & service. The restaurant is lovely and the garden in an Oasis off of Duval. The service is very attentive & the food is delicious. I can only imagine that they have done a total staff & kitchen overhaul based on the previous reviews. The testamint to a good kitchen is a simple dish done to perfection. They are very accommodating to food allergies, and gave me a piece of perfectly grilled fish! When you take away all the sauces you can tell who is good and who is not. They are really good! Don't miss the plantain encrusted chicken with Tamarind sauce! In a town of steep prices, they are well priced. Ps - we have now eaten here 3 nights in a row!

Best Happy Hour in the Keys that we have found! 1lb of Chicken Wings (that really should be called chicken legs) for $4.50, Key Lime Margaritas for $4.50, Microbrews for $2.00, Wells for $2.50, Rum Drinks for $4.50..... They have more, but what I mentioned is the reason I go. Great spot where locals and Snowbirds are found constantly, I recommend going at 4pm to get there right when they start the Happy Hour so you can hopefully get a seat at the bar!

I got the shrimp po' boy...Oh my goodness, heaven on bread!! The sauce was amazing, the shrimp were amazing, the drinks were amazing. We ate on the top of the restaurant, and there were little green lizards and tropical trees to entertain us with our delightful food. Wish they had this in California! Best sandwich I've ever had!

We went to this place twice during our stay and it was just as good both times!! This is your place to be for Happy Hour!! Treat yourself to a Key Lime Margarita (YUM) - it is the perfect way to start out your night!! They also have craft beers on tap(there were only 2 when we went) and they were interesting. We were both fans of the Hot Wings - very tasty and crisp. I really loved the hot sauce. Also tried the Conch Fritters- I personally was not a fan(I have nothing to compare them to)but my boyfriend liked the. I feel as though this is a must visit during key west. There are a lot of locals that hang at this spot - it is off Duval and its really quaint and cute. You can really get some insight on the Key West way of life due to the local crowd. We will def go back and tell any friends visiting to check this place out!!

Not that pleasant of an experience. Waiter never checked on us, didn't offer to refill drinks, never asked how the food was and dropped all the dishes into the nearby plant after clearing the table. Specials were gone by 6:30 pm, our fish dishes were mixed up, pork was extremely dry, lettuce was wilted and the frozen drink was melted and not cold. We had to add our own ice. But, great outdoor patio and bread.

What a nice place to have an evening meal. We sat outside on the patio and received excellent service from Melissa. I had the whole lobster, my wife the lobster ravioli and we shared a nice bottle of wine. Good key lime pie. Don't care if Kelly doesn't own it anymore - it was a very good dining experience.

So I will start with this, we were probably the exception b/c we chose this place b/c of all the great yelp reviews. Unfortunately, our experience didn't work for us. :( We ordered the Sunday special which was chicken & ribs plate with sweet potatoe chips & grilled corn. We also came after a rainstorm earlier in the afternoon so it wasn't packed or busy by any means. We got seated and the staff was also very nice. We ordered the key lime colada but since we couldn't get it without the alcohol, we passed. Our meal came with a side salad, which still had some dirt in it. So it was a little grainy. The hawaiian bread they make from scratch was good but it does have coconut shavings in it. Just so you are aware. It was nice & warm. They were also very good about refilling our water. We then waited over 30min for our meal. It finally gets served and we had french fries? They said they ran out but never bothered to tell us or give us an option on another side. We got poping hot fries. Then we started with our ribs and they were just cold!! No warmth what so ever, considering we waited so long for our food, I expected hot food. Then we felt the chicken & it was cold as well. The corn was the smallest piece of corn nibet I've seen and it was luck warm. So the only thing that was hot was the fries which we didn't want. So we sent it back. Then the hostess who sat us down came over to apologize. She asked us what we wanted her to do, they could microwave it for u!! Really?? I could have done that at home. We also didn't want to waste another 30 min sitting there for something else and they didn't have sweet potatoe chips was 1 of the reasons we went in. Needless to say, she comped it and we left! Very sad it wasn't better experience but as I said in the start, I'd hope we are the exception.

Wings were out of this world!!!!!!! Some of the best I've ever had. The shrimp and bacon quesadilla was gross especially if you don't like spicy food. It was a mushy mess. Disgusting. The bartenders could have been friendlier because they didnt have much going on in the personality department. Especially for Key West where most people are extremely friendly, like to make conversation and are just pleasant to be around.

I am embarrassed for the brewer. The wheat beer that I ordered was not servable. As a brewer, if this were my beer it would be down the drain before it got near a customer. Beyond the fact that it was milky white, not straw with some cloudiness, but looked more like a white russian. Over-attenuated and under-carbonated...those unfamiliar...this means watery and flat. I hate to judge an entire establishment on one beer, but if you are a brewpub and only brew three beers, you have to get them right.

Being the only brewery in the keys, I had to pay a visit to Kelly's and here was my experience: Kelly's is a microbrewery with 3 small batch fermenters. The usual beers on tap are the Havana Red Ale, Key West Golden Ale, and the Southern Clipper Wheat. I had all three and I ended up getting a pint on the Havana Red Ale. I love the outdoor patio. There are huge trees that grow up through the interior structure that form a jungle canopy overhead. It's relaxing, lowkey, and off the beaten path of the hustle and bustle of duval street, but within close proximity to the main drag. The service is nothing short of spectacular (Erica - You are awesome btw ;). Server poured me enough samples to make sure I had a proper tasting and was knowledgeable about the beers / brewery. The food is great as well with local catch, steaks, and other normal pub fair. Everything is higher priced in the keys so nothing over the top here. The only issue I see is just the minimal tap list. But for being so remote, I'm not that hard pressed to demand someting more. I'm just happy that there's a brewery at the end of the road offering up local craft beer. This is one stop you shouldn't pass up in Cayo Hueso

I lived in Key West for a few months and I have frequented here numerous times for Happy Hour only. The chicken wings and margarita's made it worth every trip, and once again this was another locals recommended stop.

The atmosphere and outside dinning are great. Very kid and family friendly. Quality of the food is hit or miss. Mine was great...wife's not so great. Kids were generally pleased. Desserts are a little pricey for the piddily size.

Holy cats. I loved this place. My first visit was the first night of a recent family vacation, and resulted in 2 return visits on a 5-day vacation. Solid. Most importantly, the wings are actually insane. The only downside is that they're only served during happy hour, but it's well worth an extra trip. We first ordered both the jerk and buffalo wings, but quickly realized the buffalo wings were worth another round. They are GENIUS. I would rank these in my top 10 wings ever. EVER IN THE HISTORY OF WINGS. Pair a huge plate of wings with one of their house brews (including a refreshingly hoppy IPA) and you have yourself a fantastic afternoon. Atmosphere is comfortable, southern and tropical. Service is A+. Our server the first night was also the fun and informative brewmaster. Bonus.

Wings with sweet Thai chili sauce - not sure how they get the thin crunchy layer but it gives these wings a nice texture and the sauce is delicious. At 4.50 during happy hour they are a sweet deal.

Bar service is hideous - for a place that is supposed to have the best Happy Hour on Key West, you would think that they would have more than one bartender on duty. you have to wait in line for a beer, and the wait is literally a half hour. No waitress service at the tables either. With that being said, the food was nothing short of fantastic - we had burgers, wings, and the beer and cheese dip, all of which were amazing. And the beer selection was very good. With more staff, this would have gotten 5 stars, easily!

There are no places that are more reasonable to grab Margos in Key West. My parents lived in Key West for a year and this was always one of their favorite hot spots. Needless to say when I came out for Christmas, this was the first place we went. The margaritas were great and abundant! I think between my parents and I we must have polished off about 12 of them, but at $4 a pop can you really blame us?? I wish that I had gotten a chance to try the food but we bar-hopped over to Caroline's for the food aspect. The atmosphere is great with a large outdoor patio and plenty of seating. The proximity to Duval makes it really convenient too. Bravo!

I give this place four stars because they were great with our dogs, and the food was fantastic, but there was one issue. To start, our expectations were low---we've never seen it crowded, and we mostly wanted a cool quiet place for a drink with dogs. But we ordered lunch and I'm sure glad we did. The Jamaican chicken wraps were out-of-this world fantastic! Perfectly spiced and seasoned, and my husband's shrimp caeser was also excellent, and he's picky about his caesars. The host/waiter was super-nice, and wonderfully easy on the eyes :) But he may have been a bit too busy to pay close attention to diners once seated. Here's my issue---and maybe it's just me. I almost never drink mid-day because one drink usually affects me and my afternoon. I feel it more at lunch time. But I ordered the house special frozen pina colada, which tasted absolutely wonderful, but had no alcohol that we could detect---not in taste, and more notably not in after-effect. That's not all bad, we had things to do, I just think when I do order a drink, there are certain expectations. Maybe I'd been in the Keys too long.... And as someone else mentioned, they make a thing out of a connection with Kelly MacGillis, which I'm not sure carries so much weight now. I'd emphasize the chef and terrific patio space myself---although I'd do some serious cleaning up on that patio, so it looks like people use it. We live in south Florida, and plant debris is tough, but a good sweeping once in a while does help. But we will definitely go back for the food; we were told the chef is from Jamaica, and the spicing indicates it's true. I'll just stick with simple drinks or wine.

Great food, decent beer (not the best I had on the island, go try the copper ale at island dog) kid friendly. We would definitely come back and recommend you give it a try ;)

Spent a week in Key West and enjoyed some great food, drinks, sights, and activities throughout those 7 days. Kelly's was one of the those great places. We had the crab-stuffed Hog Snapper and the coconut-encrusted Wahoo w/ a rum-butter sauce, two amazing entrees (see photo I uploaded on the Kelly's frontpage here). They have a great atmosphere with dining both inside and out. We ate outside, a large, shaded patio with fans at every corner, highly recommend that. Also a nice bar, after eating we went up to the bar to watch a baseball game and the drinks were about as much as you could ever ask for. 5 stars all around. Will definitely be back.

There are two micro brew choices both good especially for Happy Hour price. However, the HH margarita was gross, well tequila and nasty bottled mix. Service was poor. Bartender didn't appear to want to give me a taste of the beers before I ordered. He never returned to ask if we wanted sliders. The patio looked like nice seating. The menu was expensive I'm glad we didn't try it and got away with one good drink for $6.50 ( horrible margarita and decent beer plus $1 tip ) .

The food was average but the service was some of the worst I have encountered in the keys. If they had said they we growing the food to order I would have believed them. With so many solid options in the keys, I simply can't give any good reasons to go here. They seem to rely heavily on the fact Kelly McGillis used to own it.

Unfortunately for such a nice, spacious patio area in Key West to enjoy a drink and some food, this place did not live up to my expectations. The service was slow, the water tasted FUNKY although it may have been just that day. My husband went there again with some friends and said the water tasted fine the second time. Anyhow, we ordered the Kelly's House greens, which was very good and split the chicken penne, which was just ok. Our guests ordered the Catch of the Day and it tasted sour! The soba noodles were also not very good. I'm so glad no one got food poisoning considering the funky water and sour fish. ewww.

Excellent food, I had the Seabass on my visit, which was good. The best surprise was the pinapple-coconut bread they serve. This was like dessert, ate every bit and I don't usually fill up on bread.

Very pretty place and a lovely garden courtyard. Mahi mahi was a bit overcooked, but certainly better than "passable." If you need a kick of meat, the prime rib was yummy. Not sure about the chocolate crust on the key lime pie, though. Seemed weird and distracting. Great service--fast and efficient.

This was a nice place for lunch. There is a wonderful out door patio, and the place has three beers that are brewed on the premise (A Red, a golden ale and a wheat). The service was very good and the staff have a nice report with each other, supporting each other to enhance the customer experience.

This was delicious! We almost did not go because some people had written that it was not good for kids. We have a 5 year old and a 17 year old. It IS ok for kids. We had jerk chicken and mahi mahi. Both were fresh and delicious. Would definatley go back!

Three star average??? This place makes the best margaritas IN THE WORLD. This is not an exaggeration. They come in pint glasses and are thick, light green , tangy and unbelievably good. I don't know what the food is like. Who cares? You don't eat in Key West. The margaritas alone earn this place 5 stars.

How the hell does this place have all these good reviews? Almost all of our meals in Key West were great except this stupid craphole. The place is a short walk from where the cruise ships drop the masses off so maybe that's the problem here- it's a tourist trap. The place itself is kinda nice- it's another house where most of the seats are outside in the backyard- can't complain about that. The food- COMPLETE crap. GF had a chicken sandwich which was disgusting- the chicken looked like it had been cooked a week ago and had a nasty dark color to it. I had a crab cake sandwich- in this case, it tasted like it was a crab cake that had been frozen- that's total BS if we are in Key West. Come on, you can't even serve fresh fish? We also had a plate of jerked chicken wings; I think we were the jerks for coming here and giving them our money. Service was almost non-existent- we waited ......... and waited........ and waited...... you get the point. Skip this place as there are way too many other good options on the island.

  • Dan E.

I went there on a rainy Thursday night well after sunset. There was a good crowd there, but there were many tables available. The service was very disappointing. The waiter convinced my girlfriend to order the jerk chicken, rather than another item. He then proceeded to bring a Cajun chicken breast. It took a while to get his attention as he was sitting down with another party. He eventually apologized and took it away and brought the correct order. After that we were not again asked if we needed more drinks, or even of we wanted desert. In a good restaurant, they would have handled the whole situation differently. I would not go back.

Cheers!

Beer marginal at best, red was ok. Golden ale aweful old dirty lines very medicinal taste. Wait staff was fun. Brewery smelled was messy didn't finish my beer

We like to sit outside and relax with one of their beers. Great food items. Good service. Quiet place to hang out compared to bourbon st. Look for Kelly's top gun jacket she wore in movie

We went there the other night and didn't have the best experience. The menu online wasn't updated so the food we were looking forward to was no longer available. Then I ordered a seafood pasta dish and didn't come out as advertised. To top it all off, out waitress was nonexistent and not friendly. We will not be going back.

WOOF.

Came in for Happy Hour....ordered the Golden Ale beer ($2!) and the Key lime margaritas ($4.50). Also ordered their cheese & beer dip...yummy and coconut shrimp...very yummy!!

Nice waitress. But literally the worst meal of my life. Came with 6 people. Returned 50% of our meals and apps. Even the free dessert as a make good, we wanted to return. Do not eat here.

  • Ryan K.

  • Seth J.

  • Chelsea W.

We liked this place because we could sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery and weather. The wings were good & our first server was very accommodating, however the second was so so, but she was a bit busy and you can get that anywhere. Overall we would definitely go back.

Been there twice in the last 9 years, always had good food. Before we went we read that it was going downhill and it did. Went there for lunch and will never go back, we heard that the original owner sold. To bad it used to be a nice place to go. 11-4-13

    (1)
  • Anthony K.

  • Erin V.

I'm so glad no one got food poisoning considering the funky water and sour fish. ewww.

Avoid. Avoid.

Reasonable price for the food. The rib eye steak sandwich is pretty good. Try the beer from micro brewery!

An hour wait with tables around us finishing their meals and no food. Food came. It was mediocre at best but honestly lost my appetite waiting for it.

Best happy hour on the island - key lime pie margaritas are half price!!!!! Great food and super friendly service. Outdoor seating is gorgeous at night. We always make sure to bring our out of town guests here during their stay.

Yum.
